Lorenz Miehlich

Baritone Lorenz Miehlich studied singing at the State Academy of Music Heidelberg and completed his studies as an Art Graduate with Professor Berhnard Jaegjer-Böhm at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe. He subsequently studied with Urlrich Rademacher and France Simard at the Music Academy of Stuttgart. He has participated in master classes with Kurt Widmer, Charles Brett, Morman Shetler and Paul Esswood. Mr. Miehlich is in demand as a guest artist in concerts in throughout Europe and in Central America.
In addition to his work as a soloist, he is a member of the Chamber Music ensembles La Banda Mixta and the Deutschen Kammerchor. He has worked with conductors such as Daniel Harding, Paavo Järvi, Harry Christopher, Hermann Max, Jörg Straube. Mr. Miehlich may be heard on recordings made with the Heinrich Issac Ensemble Karlsruhe and in broadcasts with the Deutschen Kammerchor.
In addition to his work as concert performer, Mr. Miehlich is active as a vocal teacher, coaching various ensembles as well as providing individual instruction, at home in his native Germany and abroad in France, Italy, Switzerland and Mexico.
